There will be a Florida Suicide Prevention Coalition meeting from 9:00 AM -1:00 PM

The Florida Suicide Prevention Task Force meeting will take place from 1:00 PM -5:00 PM.

Walk and Rally in Tally
5th Annual FSPC Day at the Florida Capitol
April 25, 2007 (Wednesday)

Join the Florida Suicide Prevention Coalition and the Florida Suicide Prevention Task Force as advocates, survivors, grassroots organizations and state agencies walk and rally to bring suicide to the forefront as a public issue and over time to save thousands of lives that would otherwise be taken by their own hands.

The Walk and Rally in Tally will start at the Westcott Plaza in front of the Westcott Bldg. at FSU and end with the Rally at Waller Park on the west side of the Capitol. The Westcott Bldg. is located at College Ave and Copeland St. (see maps) right down the street from Potbellys.
The Walk is approximately 1 mile.

3:00 Meet at the fountain at the Westcott Building.
3:15 Walk to the Capitol:
       East on College Avenue from the Westcott Bldg.
       (Rally T-Shirts willl be handed out at the beginning of the walk.)
       South on Bronough (pass the Supreme Court which will be on your left)
       East on St Augustine (toward the Capitol)
       Note: Officers are scheduled to help everyone cross Duval to get to Waller Park.
4:00 Rally and Press Conference on the west side of the Capitol in Waller Park
       ( More information on speakers will follow. )

FSPC members and friends gathered with Governor Bush at the Capitol in Tallahassee following the Governor's Press Conference pledging his continued support for suicide prevention efforts and dedicating March 26th as Florida's Suicide Prevention & Awareness Day.

Pam Harrington spoke at the Governor's Press Conference on behalf of the over 2,000 Florida families that lose a loved one to suicide each and every year. As a member of the Florida Suicide Prevention Coalition and the Governor's Suicide Prevention Task Force, Pam represents Florida grassroots efforts and survivors.
