The media plays a significant role in today's society by providing a wide range of information in a variety of ways. They strongly influence community attitudes, beliefs, and behavior. In light of that influence, the media can also play an important role in the prevention of suicide. The links above provide important guidelines for the media providing an understanding of the active role the media can play in the prevention of suicide and the need for care and caution when featuring suicide in the media.
